KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana Inc. announced Trava Buono will serve as a new navigator and community health worker covering Kosciusko, Marshall and Fulton counties.
Buono, who has been with the program since year one, lives in Kosciusko County but has ties to other counties. Buono has been an Indiana resident for more than 30 years.
In addition, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded ASPIN Inc. $995,375 in annual funding over the next three years to support navigator services.
The ASPIN Health Navigator program will build on the community-based mobile office model created over the last two years with key collaborating partners. The program will utilize a network of state- and federally certified navigators, cross-trained as community health workers. They will conduct statewide outreach and enrollment, operate a statewide call center and website and market the program through social media.
They will also support enrollment in healthcare coverage, facilitate outreach events and provide education to improve health and insurance literacy. Navigators can help clients enroll in marketplace plans and state healthcare options like HIP 2.0
ASPIN Inc. is a 501(C)(3, nonprofit network that operates four major service lines, including third-party administration, training and workforce development, health improvement and grant management. Members include seven community mental health centers and two addiction providers serving approximately 58,000 Indiana citizens annually.
To schedule an appointment with a navigator for enrollment or education, call (877) 313-7215, visit ASPIN’s website or email [email protected]. All services are free of charge. Buono is available to meet for appointments in community settings with her mobile office and is available evenings and weekends as needed.
