Randy D. Harris, 64, Nappanee, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his residence from a year long illness.

He was born July 4, 1951, in Goshen, to Dennis and Delores (Ringler) LaRue. He grew up in Syracuse and attended Syracuse schools. Mr. Harris served during the Vietnam War in the US Marine Corp. He was very proud of this time because he received his GED while in service. He worked as an electrician, and he enjoyed watching movies.

He and his wife Tamra Leichtman have been together for 31 years, and she survives, as well as daughter: Jamie Graber; Nappanee; seven grandchildren; and sister: Amanda LaRue. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Justina Harris; son: Jeremy Graber; and his parents.

There will be visitation from 4-5 p.m. Saturday April 2, 2016, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, followed by funeral services at 5 p.m. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be given to the Randy Harris Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses.
