John King to Perform New Year’s Eve at Wagon Wheel
WARSAW — Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts announced this week that country artist John King will perform two concerts at the venue this Dec. 31. Concerts will begin at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m., with the latter continuing until midnight to ring in the new year.
John King is an up-and-coming country singer-songwriter from Gainesville, Ga., where he worked in construction as a teenage. He graduated from University of Georgia in 2011 and signed a record deal with Black River Entertainment in 2013.
His debut single, “Tonight, Tonight,” was released in mid-2014 and entered the top-40 Country Airplay chart in September of that year. The single was also heard by millions of NFL fans as it was used to highlight CBS network’s Thursday night football throughout the 2014 season.
Already an accomplished songwriter, as well as performer, King co-wrote Randy Houser’s single “We Went” with Justin Wilson and Matt Rogers. That song reached the No. 1 position for Houser.
Joining the Wagon Wheel to sponsor the concert are Arby’s, Crop Tech and Polk Auction Company.
Tickets to the concerts go on sale at 10:30 a.m on Friday, Nov. 4, online, over the phone at (574) 551-5196, and in person at the box office.
