Dorothy Rankin, 86, Warsaw, passed away peacefully at 12:05 a.m. May 19, 2018, in Warsaw Meadows. She was born July 8, 1931. in Olean N.Y. to Robert and Beatrice ( Neault) Sutch. The family later made their home in Muskegon Mich.

Mrs. Rankin attended school in North Muskegon where she met the love of her life, Graham. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. The couple raised five children: Robert, Richard, Leslie, Chris and Bill.

The family frequently enjoyed camping vacations at Lake Michigan and the couple Instilled in their children the love of outdoors and a sense of adventure.

After moving to Indiana, she worked at Zimmer International Corp. from 1975 as an administrative assistant until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Graham, along with her children Robert (Mely) Rankin, Clarkston Mich., Richard (Barbara) Rankin, Portland Ore., Leslie (Steven) Hepler, Warsaw, Chris (Julie) Rankin, Warsaw and William Rankin, Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Robert Sutch, Jackson, Mich. and brother-in-law Robert Rankin, Spring Lake. In addition, there are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who survive.

Calling hours are scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw on Thursday, May 31. A funeral mass will immediate follow at 3 p.m. in the church. The Rev. Canon Richard Kallenberg will celebrate the mass. Arrangements have been entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
