WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was recently arrested after stealing items from Harbor Freight Tools while being employed there.
Jeanine Marie Simison, 36, 6233 E. CR 300N, Warsaw, is charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On March 26, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a theft report at Harbor Freight Tools in Warsaw. The store’s manager told the officer that an employee, later identified as Simison, purchased merchandise and returned merchandise for cash without any merchandise being returned.
According to court documents, the officer spoke with Simison, who said she had been stealing from Harbor Freight Tools since October 2019. She said she would buy items and then return them for cash without actually returning the items. Simison also said she would purchase between $50 and $200 in items so as not to draw attention for large items.
A Harbor Freight Tools loss prevention employee said the total financial loss due to Simison’s actions was $3,507.85.
Simison was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 6, with a $3,500 surety and cash bond.
