James R. ‘Bo’ Davies
Mr. James R. “Bo” Davies, 82, Kewanna passed away at 5:03 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at his home.
On February 5, 1938, James was born in Chicago to Torrence Cline and Marie L. Murphy Davies.
Answering the call of patriotism at the age of 17, Bo entered the service on Feb. 14, 1955. He was honorably discharged from the US Army on Feb. 13, 1958.
In Hazelcrest, Ill., Bo married the love of his life, Nancy Lumino on July 11, 1981. They have shared 39 years of life’s adventures.
Bo was a supervisor at Continental Can of Canton, Ohio. He would often bartend at the American Legion Hall in Hazelcrest, Ill. Fishing at Lake Bruce was his way of relaxing. Most days he caught the limit!
Left to cherish Bo’s memory are his wife, Nancy; eight children: Nancy L. McCallum of Chicago, John James Davies and wife Laura of Stockbridge, Ga.; Joe Scaccio of Florida, Nancy Scaccio and companion Richard Wasak Jr. of Kewanna, Kathy Docis and companion John of Toledo, Ohio; Eddie Mlynski of Seattle, Wash.; Jody Mlynski of Seattle, Wash.; Rudy Myynski and wife Kim of Portage; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; five siblings: Torrence Cline “Bud” Davies Jr. and wife Bernice of Clearwater, Fla.; Patricia Kay Zolotar and husband David of Longmont, Colo.; Thomas E. Davies, Mickie Wright and husband Jim of Bolingbrook, Ill.; William M. Davies of Kewanna; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Zoey a tan and black German Shepherd.
