Arthur “Dale” Hyndman
Arthur “Dale” Hyndman, 86, Churubusco, passed away on March 14, 2021, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
Born in Allen County, Dec. 28, 1934, to the late Roscoe and Hannah (Felger) Hyndman. He spent his formative years at Blue Lake, graduating from Churubusco High School in 1955.
After high school he served in the United States Navy Reserve for several years. Dale was married to Joan Herron in Angola, on Feb. 11, 1956.
He worked at Harvester, then Navistar for thirty years, and Salesman & Sons Trucking for seven years.
Dale was an avid blue gill fisherman. For five years the couple wintered in Florida were he was able to walk out to his pier and fish.
Dale is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan Hyndman; three children, Mary Alice (Banner) Moorehouse, Teresa (Mark) Bonar and Michael (Kari) Hyndman; a sister, Dorothy Salesman; a brother, Donald Hyndman; seven grandchildren, Travis, Kyle and Bryant (Ashley) Moorehouse, Logan (Natalie) Bonar and Tyler (Kaitlyn Ness) Bonar, Jacob (Erin) Hyndman and Katie (Buzz) Caffee; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Devin and Ellie Moorehouse, Easton and Kenzie Bonar and Ainsley and Barrett Caffee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Hyndman; a grandson, Jared Hyndman.
Private Family Services will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Lake Township.
The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Burial taking place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
