Marie Miller
Marie Miller, 83, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Hope Springs Manor in Goshen.
She was born Oct. 9, 1937, in Rolette, North Dakota to Ezra and Gladys (Bontrager) Gingerich.
On Sept. 30, 1956, she married Elroy G. Miller in Goshen at Clinton Frame Church, formerly Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. He died Jan. 15, 2014.
Survivors include four children: Cheryl (Andy) Gall, New Paris; Lavonne (Joe) Warstler, Syracuse; Keith Miller and Diane (Dustin) Lockwood, both of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Viola (Ned) Miller and Carol (Gerald) Beachy, both of Goshen; a sister-in-law, Donna (Dan) Cole, Goshen; and a brother-in-law, Gene Bender, Middlebury.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by infants Carla Dawn and Dana Lee Miller; a granddaughter, Jessica Warstler; a sister, Geneva Bender; and a brother, Marvin Gingerich.
Marie was part of one of the first graduating classes at Bethany Christian High School in 1956. She was a member of Clinton Frame Church where she was active in the church’s sewing fellowship and the Caroliers singing group. Marie enjoyed volunteering at The Depot and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family appreciates the kind and thoughtful care Marie received while she was at Hope Springs Manor.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 12, and from 9-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Clinton Frame Church, 63846 C.R. 35, Goshen, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service. Pastor Julie Lehman and grandson, Brandon Gall will officiate. Burial will follow at Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
