Lestina ‘Tina’ Howard
Lestina “Tina” Howard, 75, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 12:57 a.m., in the home of her niece, Norma Wood, Larwill, Ind.
She was born March 27, 1937, in Warsaw to Lester and Rheana (English) Wood. She married Lowell Howard on Nov. 18, 1978, in California.
Mrs. Howard was a line worker at Maple Leaf; also Whitley Products, RR Donnelley, Zimmer Inc., and Dalton Foundry; in earlier years she was a model and a bartender at Rozella Golf Course. She was a member of Pierceton American Legion Auxiliary; Pierceton Monday Night Seniors and First Baptist Church, Pierceton. She loved her nieces and nephews and her church family; enjoyed reading, playing cards with her many friends, volunteering where needed, animals, gardening, traveling with her late husband and friends; was a true Chicago Cub fan.

Mrs. Howard is survived by a son: Barry (Janet) Metzger, Australia; two granddaughters: Shannon Metzger, Australia; and Janel (Ben) Biggs, Australia; a sister: Shirley Wood Greene, Pierceton; two brothers-in-law: Jr. Howard, Burket, Ind.; and John Howard Pierceton; two sisters-in-law: Ruthene Jamison, Aurora, Ill.; and Mary Taylor, Cincinnati, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Hrs. Howard will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery and at later day. Memorials may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County and Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice.
