Ruth Evelyn Wiard, 78, of Claypool, Ind., passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 4:15 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, Ind.

She was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Yale, Ill., to Gail G. and Lela (Gifford) Jeffers. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County, In resident. On June 17, 1965, in Warsaw, Ind., she was united in marriage to Paul E. Wiard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. In addition, she was a Mission Worker for the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Wiard, of Claypool, Ind.; sons Bruce Wiard, Macy, Ind.; David A. (Linda) Wiley, Warsaw; Rex D. (Lorraine) Wiley, Arcadia, Ind.; daughters Janet E. (Phil) Schoonover, Wheaton, Ind.; Joyce K. (Richard) Harding, Mentone; Karen R. (Scott) Schuster, Fishers, Ind.; and Teresa J. (Dathan) Reed, Claypool; brother: Roy L. Jeffers, Mentone; sister: Loise Nichols, Pierceton; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Interment will be in Palestine Cemetery Palestine.
