WHITKO BOYS TRACK UNBEATEN IN TRC
The Whitko boys track team completed an undefeated regular-season run through the Three Rivers Conference with two wins Monday night.
Whitko won six individual events and a pair of relays to total 78 points in defeating Tippecanoe Valley (43) and North Miami (34) in TRC action.
Individual winners for Whitko were Connor Stouder (100), Dylan Cozad (1,600), Brody Wilson (800), Brandon Nettrouer (200), Jude Stieglitz (3,200) and Derek Snep (shot put).
Also winning for the regular-season league champions were the 400 relay team of Caleb Wilkinson, Brady Herendeen, Jordan Sims and Stouder and the 3,200 relay team of Trapper Mize, Cozad, Wilson and Stieglitz.
Whitko competes in the TRC Meet Thursday at Tippecanoe Valley.
BOGGS LEADS WHITKO GIRLS TRACK WINS
Kelsey Boggs won a pair of events and ran on a winning relay team in helping Whitko beat North Miami and Tippecanoe Valley Monday.
Boggs won the 100 and 200 and teamed with Cagney Craig, Micaela Sylvester and Sammy Klemer to win the 400 relay.
Whitko scored 90.5 points to beat North Miami (39) and Valley (25.5) in the Three Rivers Conference competition.
Also winning for Whitko were Michelle Kelsey (3,200), Josie Sparks (400), Miranda Terrill (high jump), Holly Frantz (800), Dana Hobbs (discus) and Melanie Kelsey (1,600).
Whitko won the 3,200 relay with the team of Delaney Ray, Terrill, Frantz and Melanie Kelsey and the 1,600 relay event with the foursome of Sylvester, Terrill, Frantz and Sparks.
