BASEBALL TEAM EDGES PLYMOUTH
Kyle Gibbs turned in a strong pitching effort as Warsaw topped Plymouth 2-1 in Northern Lakes Conference baseball action Tuesday at Plymouth.
The contest was rescheduled from a rainout on April 20.
Jason Ferguson tripled and Brock Anson and Kyle Morris each had a double for Warsaw (10-9, 5-5).
Warsaw won the JV game 3-2. Justin Oberlin was the winning pitcher and Tyler LaFollette put down the game winning squeeze for the Tigers (14-5, 8-2).
Warsaw plays at NLC foe NorthWood today at 5 p.m.
O’HARA PITCHES SOFTBALL TEAM TO WIN
Cari O’Hara fired a four-hitter as the Tigers beat Plymouth 6-1 Tuesday in a Northern Lakes Conference softball game in Plymouth.
Senior O’Hara walked two and fanned two in earning her 10th win of the season. She threw just 53 pitches in the complete game victory for the Tigers.
Kendra Marshall had a pair of RBI singles to pace Warsaw. Kaitlin Wiley and Kiera Stahly each also had RBI singles for the winners and Kayla Snider plated a run with a squeeze bunt.
Warsaw (12-7, 8-2) hosts NorthWood today at 5 p.m.
