Katrina Spitler, Marion, and Eric Gingerich, Siloam Springs, Ark., announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dave and Lilly Spitler, Arcanum, Ohio. She is a 2007 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, earning a degree in elementary education/special education. She is employed at Upland Community Schools, Upland, Ind., as a special education teacher.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Phil and Jane Gingerich, Milford. He is a 2007 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, earning a degree in chemistry. He is also a 2010 graduate of Taylor University, Upland, earning his masters degree in higher education student development. He is employed at John Brown University, Siloam Springs, as resident director.

The couple plan to marry June 9, 2012, at College Wesleyan Church, Marion.
