Ricky R. Richardson
Ricky R. Richardson, 49, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 12:08 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1962, in Michigan City, Ind., to Russell Roy and Dorothy A. (Gouplski) Richardson. He was a lifetime area resident and attended Wawasee High School in Syracuse. He was employed at J.C. Manufacturing in North Webster for the past 14 years and was formerly employed at R & S Boats in Rome City, Hoosier Hot Rods in Syracuse, and Dewart Lake Marina.
He is a member of the Eagles Lodge in Syracuse, Busting Loose Four Wheelers, was a volunteer fireman in Syracuse for 15 years, race car driver at New Paris Speedway, and formerly affiliated with ABATE of Indiana.
Mr. Richardson is survived by a daughter: Jessica (fiancée, Tyler Beery) Richardson, Syracuse; a son: Austin Richardson, Syracuse; a granddaughter: Makayla Beery; four sisters: Norma (Tom) Peters, Syracuse; Debra (Robert) Rector, Pierceton; Denise (Mark) Mast, New Paris; and Deanna Schisler, Syracuse; four half-brothers: Tom Prybo, Tucson, Ariz.; Rusty Richardson, Jimmy Richardson and Dukie Richardson, all of South Bend
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 21, at the funeral home with Rev. Harlan Steffen of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. A walk thru will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home by the Syracuse Volunteer Fire Dept.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Ricky Richardson Funeral fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
