One Flown After Scooter Collides With SUV

The accident occurred at 5 p.m. on Winona Avenue at South Washington Street. A Ford Explorer driven by a Burkett woman was stopped on Winona Avenue in the eastbound lane waiting to turn north on Washington when the driver of the scooter failed to stop and rear-ended the SUV.
Samaritan air ambulance landed at Edgewood Middle School at 5:30 p.m. to transport the male patient to a Fort Wayne hospital. Warsaw Police are investigating the crash.
