Charles ‘Butch’ Jayne Jr.
Charles “Butch” Jayne Jr., 61, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of Silver Lake, In., died at 11:32 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 26, 1950, in Warsaw to Charlie Jayne Sr. and Josephine (Richardson) Jayne. He attended Warsaw and Silver Lake schools and was a mechanic for Clarkshaw Ford in North Carolina and Kerlin Ford Motor Co., Silver Lake. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict.
Mr. Jayne is survived by his mother: Josephine, North Manchester, Ind.; a son: Robert L. (Diana) Jayne, Disputanta, Va.; daughters: Bernice Renee Parks, Monroe, N.C.; and Christina Marie Jayne, Bladenboro, N.C.; brothers: William David (Renee) Jayne, North Manchester; Paul Raymond (Dawn) Jayne, Silver Lake; and Steven Eddie Jayne, Deetsville, Ala.; sisters: Charlotte Sue (Lester) Spangle, Silver Lake; Patricia Carol Irelan, Linda Kay (Fred) Kling, Betty Ann Smith, Jo (Scott) Leffel, all of North Manchester; Laurie Rose (Rick) Voss, Columbia City, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut Street, North Manchester. Calling will be one hour prior to the service, which will be officiated by Pastor J.P. Freeman. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake.
