Melvin F. Gunter
Melvin F. Gunter, 75, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
On Nov. 11, 1936, Melvin was born in Warsaw, to Alton and Ethel Mae (Ransbottom) Gunter.
Melvin married Tonya Propps on April 12, 1985 in Warsaw. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and was a machinist at Zimmer Inc. He retired in 1998 after 24 years. He was also a member of the Pierceton American Legion Post 258 and also served in the Indiana National Guard.
Melvin is survived by his wife: Tonya Gunter, Warsaw; and his favorite pet dogs: Choo-Choo and Caboose.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Robert “Bob” Gunter; and his parents.
Visitation hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Claypool, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 5. Pastor Dudley Waites will officiate the service. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
