Charlie Nelson Felder
Charlie Nelson Felder, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of Marion, Ind., passed away at 7:35 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012, in his home.
He was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Hope Hull, Ala., to Willie and Doshie (Myrick) Felder. He married Deborah Jones.
He was a core maker at Dalton Foundry for 15 years. He was also a member of Mount Mariah Baptist Church, Montgomery, Ala.
Mr. Felder is survived by six daughters: Diane Jones, Warsaw; Kathy Felder, Flint, Mich.; Charlena Howard, Detroit, Mich.; Marsha Felder, Detroit, Mich.; Jacqueline Blue, Alabama; and Ragina Washington, Indianapolis; four sons: Larry Felder, Daniel Felder, Calvin Little, Charles Little, all of California; a sister: Clemie Mae Jackson, Montgomery, Ala.; and a brother: George Brown, Mobile, Ala.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Brenda Myrick; a son: James Felder; a twin sister who died at birth; and two brothers: Samuel Felder and Dolie Felder.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, Warsaw. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with Pastor Larry Burkhart, New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, officiating.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others.
