Douglas Blanton Sr.
Douglas Blanton Sr., 67, of Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 1:23 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born June 20, 1944, in Swamp Branch, Ky., to William Martin and Lilly V. (Caudill) Blanton. He was united in marriage to Debrah Hall on Nov. 6, 1972, in Warsaw, Ind. He was a former foundryman and employed in Line Production at Maple Leaf Farms of Milford, Ind. He was a Kosciusko County resident since 1962 and member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Sidney, Ind.
He is survived by his wife: Debrah Blanton, Pierceton; sons: Douglas Blanton Jr. and Bradley J. (Amanda) Blanton, all of Pierceton; a sister: Violet Schenske, Kentucky; and grandchildren: Samantha, Trece, Breanna, Bradley Jr. and Drake Blanton.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw. Calling will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Tom Miller will officiate the services. Interment will in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
