Beaman Home Nets $10k In Golf Outting
After enjoying a picnic lunch, catered by Bib’s Backyard BBQ, the players hit the greens at South Shore Golf Club for good fellowship and some friendly competition. Throughout the day, they tested their skills and tried their luck to not only place as a team, but also as an individual.
At the end of the day, the scores were close with the top 3 teams being within 1 stroke of one another. The awards went to:
1st place – 1st Source Bank Team #2; John Elliott, Brian Elliott, Dave Wolkins and Matt Wolkins.
2nd place – North Webster American Legion; Don Mort, Paul Beezley, Kerry Koontz and Bob Krevinghaus.
3rd place – Warsaw Bowl; Bart Loe, Chris Loe, Bruce Sawvel and Ted Wright.
In the individual competitions, awards went to:
Long Putt Competition: Jeff Slater
Longest Drive: Men – Dick Allen; Women – Chris Loe
Closest to the Pin, Hole #5: Men – Ray Harroff; Women – Chris Loe
Closest to the Pin, Hole #7: Men – Bill Cox; Women – No one filled in the marker Closest to the Pin, Hole #14: Unisex – Bob Krouse
Lakeside Chevrolet sponsored a Hole-in-One Competition, and offered a brand new 2013 Chevy Malibu to the winner. Unfortunately, no one was able to take the car home with them.
In total, Beaman Home’s 20th Annual Golf Scramble netted just over $10,000 for its Emergency Shelter and Outreach Programs.
