Valley In Hall Of Fame Hoops Camp
Tippecanoe Valley is one of 16 boys basketball teams scheduled to take part in a team camp June 23-24 in New Castle.
The camp is being sponsored by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and DistinXion, an organization run by the Zeller family (whose three sons Luke, Tyler and Cody all won Indiana’s Mr. Basketball Award).
Games will begin June 23 at 8 a.m. and run through 9 p.m. Games start June 24 at 8 a.m. with the championship game slated for 3:30 p.m. Each team will play at least one game in the New Castle Fieldhouse, which has a capacity of 9,314. Games will also be played at the New Castle Middle School and the YMCA.
Joining Valley will be teams from Goshen, Pike, Park Tudor, Marion, Wapahani, New Castle, Batesville, Norwell, Jennings County, Cardinal Ritter, Fort Wayne Blackhawk, Shelbyville, Austin, Vincennes Rivet and Greenfield-Central.
A special character development session, conducted by staff from DistinXion, will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Fieldhouse and is open to the public.
Admission to the camp is $6 per person. Discounted tickets to the Hall of Fame Museum will be available both days for $4 for adults and $2 for children.
