The Hall Family, a local gospel singing group, will be in concert at River City Campground, 6220 S. 850W, South Whitley, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11.

They have been singing Southern Gospel music in Warsaw and the surrounding communities for more than 40 years. Mary Hall first sang at Free Will Baptist Church in Packerton.

The Hall Family group is composed of Mary Hall, Palestine, Ind.; eldest son Glenn Hall, from Pierceton, Ind., are on piano and vocals and wife Teressa operates the sound; daughter Rita Adams, Claypool, Ind., is on vocals, and Rita’s husband, Wayne, is on vocals and guitar.

Next, son Rick Hall of Silver Lake, Ind., is also on vocals, and Vickie Adams, Milford, Ind., is a vocalist. Extended family members in the group are Angela Trump, Pierceton, Ind., on vocals and Hedgel “Lee” Perry on vocals and bass guitar.

In addition to the three grandchildren mentioned, Michael Adams is also a very talented musician who is a lead member of the popular band Husbands & Wives.

The group has recorded five albums of gospel music, including “Hall Family Anchored Deep” in 2006 and “I Am That I Am … the Hall Family” in 2008. They have also given concerts in other parts of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia and Arkansas.

“We are based in Kosciusko County and have supported the local community and stayed local because we like the community and have strong family ties and friendships,” stated Mary Hall.

Hall further remarked, “I am proud to see the next generation of musicians and singers, including Adam, Thomas and Frankie.” These are her grandchildren.

Adam Hall is affiliated with Blackhawk Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Thomas Hall is musical director at Warsaw Wesleyan Church and Frankie Hall (a granddaughter) is involved with music and the youth group at New Life Christian Church in Warsaw.

Hall stated that the group looks forward to continuing to encourage and share their faith through gospel music for many years to come.
