Wawasee All-Stars Keep Rolling
The young ladies from Kosciusko County kept the beat going at the NSA B 12U World Series.
The Wawasee All-Stars 12U softball team won its third game in a row, 13-2, over the Illinois Blazers in a run-rule game in Valparaiso. The Blazer were no match for Wawasee, which had 18 hits in 29 plate appearances and every player for the All-Stars scored at least one run.
Amber Lemberg and Beth Flannery split the pitching duties, combining for eight strikeouts in the four innings played.
Up next for Wawasee will be the Indiana Mayhem, an 8-5 winner over Wabash Valley earlier this afternoon. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. CST in Portage.
