Viviane B. Smith, 79, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.

She was born May 25, 1933, in Big Pine, N.C. She and her husband, Wayne Smith Sr., moved to the Syracuse, Ind., area following Wayne’s retirement. They had lived in the Portage, Ind., area most of their lives.

Viviane was a homemaker and also sold Avon for many years.

She is survived by her husband: Wayne Smith Sr., Warsaw; a daughter: Rebecca Smith, Syracuse; three grandchildren: Jeff Smith, Las Vegas, Nev.; and John Smith and Julie Smith, Chesterton, Ind.

She was preceded by her son: Wayne Smith Jr.; and a sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. A memorial service to honor Viviane’s life will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Webster or Syracuse food pantries or the Animal Welfare League.
