UPDATE: Barn Destroyed In Blaze
An off duty fireman noticed a barn fire in Warsaw early Thursday morning.
Warsaw Fire Department was called at approximately 1:30 a.m. to 3499 S. 400 E. When the arrived, the barn had already burned completely to the ground and was still on fire. Upon arrival, WFD called for a tanker assist from Winona Lake Fire Department.
The barn was located on property owned by Lavon and Elaine Wood.
Warsaw Fire Chief Mike Brubaker estimated the loss of the barn and its contents, which included a lot of equipment, at approximately $200,000.
Multi-Township EMS was also on scene.
