Despite already having had one match at Sycamore Golf Club this month, it didn’t help Wawasee any in a 189-198 loss to Manchester Monday night.

The Lady Squires had matching 41s from Lindsey Rednick and Jasmine Whitaker to lead the squad. A 50 from Claire Barnett and 57 Nina Smith rounded out Manchester’s scoring.

Wawasee were led again by Mikaka Mawhorter, who shot a 47. Alex Goralczyk had a 49, Kamryn Foy a 50 and Elizabeth Jackson a 52 to complete the varsity scoring.

Wawasee had shot a 192 at Sycamore at the beginning of the month in a triangular with Whitko and Concord.

“We didn’t play that badly,” began Wawasee head coach Steve Coverstone, “Manchester had a couple good scores at one and two. Alex did a nice job at 49 and Kamryn Foy really improved over her last effort with a 50.”
