Cruisin’ Hoosiers Show Is Aug. 25
From noon to 6 p.m. that day, the car show will feature cars, trucks and motorcycles along with a rat rod class. There will be a deejay playing 1950’s and 1960’s music along with other entertainment. A hog roast and various other types of food vendors will be available.
As in year’s past, all proceeds will benefit Baker Youth Club in Warsaw. Last year, the show raised $13,800.
“That was a record year for us,” said Paul Jenkins, secretary/treasurer of the Cruisin’ Hoosiers Car Club.
Last year’s show featured 120 to 125 cars, about a dozen motorcycles and three rat rods, according to Jenkins. In addition, there will be other events, too.
World War II vintage airplanes will fly over the show. There will be a helicopter on display, inflatables for children, Deb Collier’s School of Dance, and a K9 from the sheriff’s department. Also, there will be a silent auction with approximately 15 items up for bid. A clock, a recliner chair and jewelry are just some of the auction items.
Pre-registration is not required. Participants can register the day of the show for $12 per entry.
