Lady Warriors Capture Inaugural Tournament
Not a bad way to kick off a tradition. In the first Wawasee JV Volleyball Invitational, Wawasee swept Lakeland, West Noble and South Bend Washington to capture the crown.
Wawasee beat Lakeland 25-19, 25-18, West Noble 25-17, 18-25, 15-11 and South Bend Washington 25-20, 17-25, 15-7.
Leading the Lady Warriors (4-1) were Olivia Huffman with 20 assists and seven aces, Jada Antonides with 37 digs, Mikala Mawhorter with 19 kills and Becca Anderson with eight blocks.
“I am very proud of the way the girls played this morning,” said Wawasee coach Kari Walmer. “The team passing was good, which kept us in the system. It was nice to win the first JV Invite hosted at Wawasee.”
