No Clues In Missing Teen’s Whereabouts
According to the Kosciusko County Central Dispatch call log, a possible sighting of Shoemaker was made in Harlan, Ind., at a gas station two days ago. Yet another caller said the woman may have been staying in the upstairs of an abandoned building on Buffalo Street in Warsaw. A alleged sighting of her was also made Saturday on Market Street.
Tonight, Shoemaker’s family tells StaceyPageOnline.com that they also heard the woman was staying at the Victory Hotel in Warsaw and that authorities checked on that lead, but so far, none of the information has turned up any clues.
Shoemaker has been missing since Thursday, Aug. 16, when her family says she went for a walk alone and never returned. She left with only the clothes she was wearing and her cell phone.
The young woman was last seen walking in Suburban Acres Mobile Home Park at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday. Her family says her cell phone is not working or the battery is dead and they have not heard from her or had any confirmed sightings.
Friends and family have searched fields near the mobile home park, the Winona Lake bike trails, all of the area parks and the Vinegar Bend area. Family members also tell StaceyPageOnline.com that Shoemaker has never run off like this before leaving them to wonder if she is being held against her will, or worse.
Aurora is about 5 foot 9 inches tall with short strawberry blonde hair. She has blue/green eyes, a thin frame and piercings on her lip.
An official missing person’s report was filed Saturday with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. If you have any information, please contact the KCSD at 574-267-5667.
