Mary Stalter, 89, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of North Webster, Ind., passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Mason’s Healthcare, Warsaw.

She was born on March 29, 1924, in Bloomfield, Ind., to Frank and Flora (Williams) Hayes. On April 25, 1944, she married Gaylord Stalter who preceded her in 1985.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a former longtime member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mary is survived by her daughter: Lynn Stalter, North Webster; two sons: Dennis (Peggy) Stalter, Bloomington, Ind.; and Richard (Cheryl) Stalter, Larwill, Ind.; five grandchildren: Todd, Jenn, Chad, Stacy and Grant; seven great-grandchildren; a sister: Grace Stalcup, Angola, Ind.; a brother: Warren Hayes, Plainville, Ind.

She was preceded by her husband and a brother.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at the Salem Cemetery in Wilmot, Ind.
