Pink Out Nights At Edgewood
Edgewood Middle School is showing its support in the fight against cancer by hosting two Pink Out nights to benefit the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.
The first Pink Out Night is set for Wednesday, Sept. 5, when Edgewood takes on Lakeview Middle School in football at 4:30 p.m. The second Pink Out Night will be the next day, Thursday, Sept. 6, when the girls volleyball team plays Lakeview at 4:30 p.m
During both athletic events, attendees are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for the fight against cancer. T-shirts will also be available for purchase, as will pink popcorn.
Other events to raise money for the Cancer Care Fund will be raffles for game balls, and skill challenges. During the football game, buy chances to kick a field goal. For the volleyball game, buy serves. All skill challenges are just $1 each.
Both Edgewood and Lakeview middle schools will compete for the most donations during each Pink Out night.
The Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund assists local individuals and their families who are battling cancer. The fund helps pay for necessary expenses such as rent and mortgage, utility bills, food and even travel expenses for medical treatments.
Attend the Edgewood v. Lakeview football and volleyball games next week – Sept. 5-6 – and help the Tigers “fight for a cure.”
