The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that the SR 15 bridge in Claypool is now open.

The bridge was closed to accommodate replacement of the bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad, approximately 4 miles north of SR 14. The bridge required rehabilitation for continued safety to the traveling public.

The new bridge design improves sight distance for better safety at CR 700 S intersections, which are located just north and south of the bridge. Additionally, added height to the new bridge design increases safety for the railroad, as well as motorists.
