Habitat Kosciusko Deploys Can Collection Sheds
In order to create a greater awareness of the Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County’s can-collection campaign, Habitat has deployed bright green sheds throughout the area. The sheds provide a convenient way for people to donate their recyclable aluminum cans 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The funds generated from this campaign support Habitat’s building projects that provide safe and affordable housing for families in need.
Currently, bright green sheds can be found at:
- Lowe’s, 2495 Jalynn St., Warsaw
- White’s Flooring, 2249 N Detroit, Warsaw
- AutoZone, 1801 E Center St., Warsaw
- Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 Old US 30 W, Warsaw
- Steffen Realty, 909 N Huntington St., Syracuse
- North Webster Community Center, 301 N Main St., North Webster
Habitat plans to add more locations to this list.
Habitat is grateful to individuals and businesses that have assisted and continue to assist with the fund-raising effort, including students at Fairfield High School and West Noble High School that built three sheds, participants in the Women Build challenge that build four sheds and the youth group at Warsaw Wesleyan that built a shed.
In addition, Depuy is currently running a 30 day collection program for its employees. To date, Habitat Kosciusko has collected 350 lbs. of aluminum (approximately 14,000 cans).
