Warsaw Is Site Of Culture Fest
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will host a free Culture Fest event from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, in Warsaw’s Central Park. The event will highlight a variety of cultures from around the world through music, dance, activities, and more.
A variety of entertainment is scheduled in Central Park Plaza. DeHurricane will perform Calypso, Soca and Reggae music from Trinidad and Tobago at 3 p.m. Ballett Folklorico Sol Azteca will present traditional Latin and Mexican dances at 4:15 p.m.
An Dro will offer a taste of Irish and Celtic music at 5 p.m. Fort Wayne Taiko will entertain the crowd with a Japanese Taiko drum performance at 6:15 p.m. Southside Evolucion will get everyone dancing with upbeat Latin and Mexican music at 7 p.m.
A children’s area will be available from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with free face painting, pony rides, inflatables and more. Children will have the opportunity to create a variety of cultural crafts. There will be piñatas at the picnic shelter in the afternoon. Food and business vendors will also be available.
