Meth Found During Traffic Stop
At approximately 8:04 p.m. last night, a Warsaw officer made a traffic stop off Kings Highway for a vehicle traveling with white light emitting from the rear of the vehicle. A routine check of the driver, Gregory D. Snelling, 23, 517 Fulton Ave., Rochester, found his driving privileges to be suspended.
Two other occupants were also in the blue Honda Accord and the officer received consent to search the vehicle. The search produced a black bag from under the driver’s seat that contained approximately 1 gram of what was believed to be methamphetamine.
Also located were four burnt pipes, a coffee filter and a straw that all had the white powdery substance on it. Interviews with the occupants indicated the substance was methamphetamine which was verified with field test kits.
All three of the occupants were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on felony charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and on misdemeanor charges of Possession of Paraphernalia.
The three individuals arrested were Snelling; Howard P. Lambert, 47, 412 Walnut Akron, Ind.; and Brent S. Sherow, 21, 1219 Marilyn Ave. Winona Lake.
Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of methamphetamine in the community by being aggressive toward the use, manufacture and possession of this dangerous drug.
