Evening Knitting
Grab your knitting needles and yarn, and learn how to knit the easy way: by watching! The group would be glad to demonstrate how to knit. Got a project started? The group can help with that too. All ages are welcome! The group meets the second Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the library meeting room.
Teen Read Week
Calling all TEENS… come to the library the week of Oct. 14-20 to help celebrate Teen READ Week. This year’s theme is “It Came from the Library!” Check out the display in the teen area and pick up a monstrously good read! MPL dares you to read for the fun of it! Teen Read Week is a time to celebrate reading in all its forms —books and magazines, e-books, audiobooks and more — and become regular library users.
Friends of the Library Events
The Friends of the Library are hosting their bi-annual book and bake sale in November. If you have gently used books, videos, DVDs, magazines, etc., please bring them to the meeting room at the library. Thank you!
