Kathryn C. Everson
Kathryn C. Everson, 92, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 11:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in her residence at Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester, Ind.
She was born on April 11, 1920, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Clarence A. Fremion and Helen (Marshall) Fremion. She was married on Dec. 18, 1943, in Fort Wayne to Maurice J. Everson, and they were married for 55 years until his death on Sept. 13, 1998.
She attended South Side High School and graduated from Warner Beauty College. In her earlier years, she worked as a hair stylist and owned her own salon in Fort Wayne. They lived in Fort Wayne until 1989 at which time they moved to Shagbark Drive in Warsaw.
Kate was a past member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne, and she enjoyed flowers, gardening, and fishing. Spending time with family members was always the most important aspect of her life.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ron (Doris) Everson; a granddaughter: Heather (James) Tuttle; and great-granddaughters: Olivia and Elaina Tuttle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brother: Clarence G. Fremion.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the funeral home and officiated by Reverend Sue Babovec, from Peabody Retirement Community Chapel. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
