Kathryn V. Reed, 92, of Ligonier, Ind., passed away at 12:55 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Avalon Village.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1920, in Noble County, Ind., to James and Viola (Holden) Patton. She married Robert Reed on July 3, 1937, in Albion, Ind. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter: Nancy K. Hooley, Ligonier; two granddaughters: Lisa Gray, Findley, Ohio; and Kimberlee Hooley, Ligonier; a brother: Russell Patton, Ligonier.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Linda Gingerich; a sister: Elizabeth Juday; and four brothers: Sam Sr., Edward, James and Robert Patton.

Mrs. Reed was employed in several area factories, such as Wirk Garment Factory, Essex Wire and Tower Advertising.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Yeager Funeral Home. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
