Saturday, Oct. 27, is only 19 days away and, on that day, I will be skydiving to raise money for the Combined Community Services Food Pantry. And the great news is, you can join me!

Thanks to the generosity of Skydive Great Lakes, located at the Goshen Airport, you can also jump from 13,000 feet to help the food pantry – and have some fun doing it! Special pricing that day for anyone joining in on the StaceyPageOnline.com event will be just $185 for a tandem jump. Of that, $20 will be donated to CCS.

Did you know it takes about $2,000 EVERY MONTH for CCS to keep its food pantry stocked? My goal is to raise at least enough money to stock that pantry for two months. With winter coming and thousands of Kosciusko County residents out of work, utility bills will be enough of a struggle. Please help me to help CCS stock its food pantry to at least take hunger off the table for our friends and neighbors.

Skydive Great Lakes is northern Indiana’s and southern Michigan’s premier skydiving operation serving South Bend, Fort Wayne, the Chicago area, Kalamazoo, Goshen and everything in between. And, on Oct. 27, Skydive Great Lakes will deduct $44 off the regular tandem skydive price PLUS donate $20 from every jump to the CCS Food Pantry.

Skydive Great Lakes uses a Pilatus Porter, the only turbine powered jump plane in the area. They also have the ONLY Sikorsky S-55 helicopter in the U.S. to be used for skydiving, and SGL is the only dropzone to offer helicopter tandems and a premier video package. In fact, SGL even uses a live onboard feed to an LCD on the ground meaning you can watch your friends as they exit the plane.

Anyone wanting to jump that Saturday as part of the fundraiser, will need to be at the Goshen Airport by 9 a.m. Jumps will begin at 11 a.m.

The day will also feature a chili cook-off and Skydive Great Lakes will be grilling that day as part of the fun festivities.
