Warrant Blitz Finds 13 In Custody
Several law enforcement agencies from both Kosciusko and Elkhart counties worked together Wednesday on a drug warrant blitz and took 13 people into custody.
Officers from the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, along with officers from Syracuse, North Webster, Milford, and Elkhart City Drug Task Force converged on a number of locations to serve active drug warrants.
Those arrested were:
- Casey James Louden, 25, Pierceton, who is charged with felony dealing/delivering methamphetamine. Bond: $50,000
- Catherine L. Schmidt, 40, Warsaw, who is charged with two felony counts of dealing schedule III controlled substance. Bond: $50,000
- Marshall B. Slone, 32, Claypool, who is charged with felony dealing in schedule I controlled substance. Bond: $50,000
- Richard J. Mackensworth, 49, Milford, who is charged with felony dealing in schedule I, II, & III controlled substances. Bond: $50,000
- Brenda Kae Mackensworth, 42, Milford, who is charged with felony dealing in schedule IV controlled substance. Bond: $20,000
- Amber Marie Engle, 26, Claypool, who is charged with felony possession of a schedule I, II, III, or IV controlled substance. Being held on no bond.
- John Wayne Clark, 41, Claypool, who is charged with felony dealing schedule III controlled substance. Bond: $50,000
- Jimmy Lee Burchett, 49, Warsaw, who is charged with felony possession of marijuana/over 30 grams. Bond: $10,000
- Willie D. Williams, 30, Elkhart, who is charged with felony dealing and felony possession of methamphetamine. Bond: $50,000
- Teresa Sue Hall, 39, Warsaw, who is charged with felony dealing in schedule I, II, or II controlled substance. Bond: $50,000
- Jamey I. Besemann, 32, Milford, who is charged with felony dealing in a schedule I, II, or III controlled substance and habitual substance offender. Bond: $50,000
While K.C.S.D. deputies were assisting in the warrant blitz, they conducted a traffic stop near the area of SR 13 and CR 125 South where they also arrested James O. Sayler, 35, and Donal Edward Weber, 27, both of Winona Lake, on felony charges of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. Their bonds are individually set at $2,000.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers still have outstanding drug warrants on the following individuals:

- Thomas Wayne Yoder, 48, Milford
- Michelle B. Miller, 44, Milford
- Jennifer Ormsby, 31, Larwill
- Codie L. J. Pierce, 21, Warsaw
- Chelesa R. Baldwin, 24, Warsaw
