Arthur C. Epert
Arthur C. Epert, 83, of Syracuse, Ind., and formerly of Ligonier, Ind., passed away at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1929, in Ligonier, Ind., to A. Carlyle and Florence (Jerles) Epert. He married Betty H. Eytcheson Jan. 6, 1950; she preceded him in death in May of 2012.
Arthur had lived in Ligonier until his retirement in 1991, at which time he moved to Lake Wawasee. He retired from Coachmen Industries and was a member of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel and he was also a member of the Ligonier Masonic Lodge #185.
Survivors include three children: Arthur R. (Melanie) Epert, Wawaka, Ind.; Roxie (Dan) Lyon, Cromwell, Ind.; and Shelly McKee, Syracuse, Ind.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; a son: James Phillip Epert in 1956; and his parents.
A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A memorial service will then be held in his honor at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating.
