Native American Program At WCPL
A Native American Program will be presented by Sheryl Hartman from Piankeshaw Trails that will introduce the audience to the history and culture of the Native populations that lived in and around the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley.
Emphasis will be placed on local villages and names that may be familiar to the audience. There will be real and reproduction items that represent the textiles, structures, tools, instruments and trade items of Native Americans that lived in the region from around 2,000 years ago until the 19th century.
The audience will be invited to try on, and participate in some of the demonstrations. This program is open to all ages at Warsaw Community Public Library at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.
