Wanda L. Simcoe
Wanda L. Simcoe, 84, of North Manchester, Ind., died at 7:58 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Warsaw, Ind., on Oct. 4, 1928, to Roy and Bertha (Holderman) Smith. She graduated from Mentone High School in 1946 and Ravenscroft Beauty College in 1948.
On March 19, 1948, she married Kenneth D. Simcoe. He died March 31, 1993.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #88, Warsaw, Mentone United Methodist Church, a charter and lifetime member of World War II Memorial. She loved reading, baking, her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons: Kenney D. Simcoe, North Manchester, Ind.; Steven B. (Becky) Simcoe, Fort Henry, Ohio; Sam R. (Shirley) Simcoe, North Manchester; a daughter: JoLynn (Bob) Robison, North Manchester; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; two brothers: John (Jill) Smith, Warsaw, Ind.; and Charles (Diane) Smith, Claypool, Ind.; a sister: Carol (Mike) Engle, Leesburg, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a son: Robert Simcoe; a brother: Walter Smith; and a grandchild.
Friends and family may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the funeral home. Rev. Kevin DeKoninck will officiate and burial will follow at Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Ind.
