The local Tri Kappa Sorority recently took part in a contest sponsored by IU Health Goshen Hospital. The annual bra decorating contest is held in support of breast cancer awareness.

The bra submitted by Tri Kappa had the most votes coming from Kosciusko County and raised over $1,100 for the Heartstrings program. The Heartstrings program offers free mammograms for women who cannot afford this expensive prevention service.

This was the fifth year the IU Health Goshen Retreat had this bra contest and this year raised 65 percent more money alone compared to the last four years.

“We are very proud to be able and help those women in the community for October being Breast Cancer Awareness month,” said Kacy Davis.
