Happy The Hobo Passes Away
An Indiana entrepreneur and television icon has passed away. Mike Fry, known as “Happy the Hobo,” hosted a children’s show on WFFT on Fort Wayne, from 1982 to 1990.
Fry also founded Indianapolis-based Fancy Fortune Cookies, which still delivers nationwide.
He opened Fancy Fortune Cookies in 1988 and his clients have include FedEx, Oprah Winfrey, Magic Johnson, Ozzy Osbourne and Jackie Chan.
He passed away Monday from complications due to an autoimmune disorder. Fry was 51.
