Turkey Lurkey 5K Run/Walk To Benefit CCS
The 11th annual Turkey Lurkey 5K Run/Walk to benefit Combined Community Services is coming up on Saturday, Nov. 17, and pre-registrations are now open to participants.
All of the proceeds from the Turkey Lurkey 5K Race are used to support the many programs at Combined Community Services that help the low-income residents of Kosciusko County work toward self-sufficiency.
Located by the shores of Winona Lake, the 11th Annual Turkey Lurkey 5K Race is a challenging course which starts at Winona Lake Park, runs down the quaint streets of Winona Lake, meanders through the scenic wooded pathways, and then finishes back at Winona Lake Park.
The race will be divided into the following age groups for both male and female runners: Under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65+.
Pre-registration is now underway and will be $17 for participants; students are just $12. The day of the event, the cost to participate will be $20 for adults, $15 for students. Only those who pre-register will be guaranteed an event T-shirt.
The last day to pre-register is Monday, Nov. 12. The race will begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17. Registration the day of the event will be from 8 a.m. to 8:41 a.m.
