Warsaw Leads In NLC Sports Tally
The WCHS athletic program, on both the boys and girls sides, leads the Northern Lakes Conference all-sports trophy races at the completion of the fall portion of the 2012-13 school year.
Warsaw leads on the boys side with 53 points, one ahead of Concord. The Tigers won NLC championships during the fall in tennis and cross country. Concord won in soccer and was co-champion in football with Plymouth. In the boys standings, Northridge and Goshen are tied for third with 38 points, followed by Plymouth (37), NorthWood (28) and Wawasee (22).
Warsaw, with championships in volleyball and golf, has 53 points to lead the girls standings. Northridge, which won league titles in soccer and cross country, is second with 48 points. NorthWood, which shared the NLC golf title with Warsaw, is third with 42 points, followed by Plymouth (35), Concord (29), Goshen (28), Elkhart Memorial (28) and Wawasee (25).
