UPDATE: Body Identified As LaGrange County Woman
The discovery of a body in southeastern Michigan has been confirmed today as that of a missing LaGrange County woman.
Lenawee County Sheriff Jack Welsh says the autopsy was inconclusive on a cause of death for Catherine Sackrider, 58. He says her death is under investigation as suspicious.
The body was found near a farmer’s field in Lenawee County, Mich. Sackrider disappeared eight weeks ago after a trip to Ohio. She was last seen Sept. 18 after visiting her daughter in Sylvania, Ohio.
Authorities say Sackrider’s pickup truck was found in a Toledo suburb Sept. 25.
Sheriff Jack Welsh tells The Daily Telegram of Adrian, Mich., that a farmer spreading lime on a corn field In Palmyra Township spotted the body Friday near an unused barn. Welsh says the body lacked identification.
