Walker-Crawford Signs With Wesleyan
WARSAW – Warsaw girls basketball senior Jennifer Walker-Crawford will continue playing basketball at Kentucky Wesleyan College after signing a letter of intent on Thursday.
Walker-Crawford, a 6-1 standout for coach Michelle Harter’s Tigers, has started the season strong, leading Warsaw in scoring in both victories in a 2-0 start. Crawford netted a career-high 21 points in a victory over Huntington North Saturday and then scored 17 points in a win over Fort Wayne Luers Tuesday night.
Walker-Crawford broke into the starting lineup for the Tigers as a sophomore and helped lead Warsaw to an impressive 16-5 record a year ago. She averaged seven points and over six rebounds per game last year as a junior.
While Walker-Crawford has demonstrated her skills on the court, she has also excelled in the classroom by earning an impressive 11.89 cumulative GPA on a 12-point scale and is ranked 34th in her class of 511 students.
Walker-Crawford intends to major in Business Marketing at Kentucky Wesleyan, and she will compete for the NCAA Division II Panthers and co-coaches Nicole and Caleb Nieman.
