Thelma Crow
Thelma Crow, 92, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 3:22 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse.
She was born on March 24, 1920, in Milford, Ind., to Charles Washington and Clara (Leatherman) Price.
She graduated from Milford High School in 1938 and was married on June 14, 1941 in Milford to Maurice B. “Morrie” Crow who preceded her in death in 1977. She was a lifetime resident of the Milford-Syracuse area, was a homemaker and formerly worked at Maple Leaf Farms in Milford for several years.
She was a member of the Bethany Church of the Brethren in Milford and also attended the Syracuse Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by two sons: Charles “Chuck” (wife, Sally) Crow, Noblesville, Ind.; and Stephen Crow, Syracuse; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Marsha Ann Fisher; a daughter-in-law: Linda (Robertson) Crow; three sisters: Charlotte Robinson, Flossie Hartter and Melba Rensberger; and four brothers: Glenn, Russell, Everett and Robert Price.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Timothy Morphew of Bethany Church of the Brethren officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at the Syracuse Cemetery.
Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice.
